Those Orff folks know how to have a good time!

What a lovely time I had at the National Orff Conference. Many thanks to everyone who participated. I had about 100 attendees in each of my sessions and they were an absolute joy to meet and work with. I look forward to seeing many of you again in your local chapters.

Congrats on a super National Conference!

Many many thanks again to Rita Wilmouth at Musik Innovations for sponsoring my sessions!

Come to the National Orff Conference!

I have been invited to be one of the featured presenters at the American Orff-Schulwerk Association National Professional Development Conference, November 9-11, 2011, in Pittsburgh.

The conference organizers have invited me to teach and have set-up a truly ideal setting where i will be teaching 4 sessions over 3 days. I will not be repeating any of the teaching. The hope is that most of the attendees will come for all 4 of the sessions. We are trying to offer a more in-depth experience than just the average introductory class. Very exciting. I will be presenting 3 classes for the adults to participate in and one high school demonstration class with my students from the Pittsburgh High School for the Creative and Performing Arts.

Many many thanks to Rita Wilmouth at Musik Innovations for sponsoring my sessions!

600 students in Idaho!

Wow, these were some big days. In the 3 days of teaching in Pocatello, I worked with more than 600 students and we really had a great time. Multiple classes with the Idaho State Civic Orchestra, the Idaho State Youth Orchestra, a Pocatello area high school choir, orchestra, and marching band, and three area middle schools. Many thanks again to Chung Park and all of his hard work. He has amassed such a wonderful group of musicians. I look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

Residency at Idaho State University

October 3-4-5, 2011

I will again be with the amazing conductor Chung Park and the Idaho State Civic Symphony at Idaho State University. We are looking forward to a few days of work with his Symphony players. They were really a super group to work with last year. I am very pleased to be invited back.

In addition to working with the symphony, I will also be visiting three Pocatello area high schools. It sounds like at least one of the classes will be with a group of over 100 teenagers. Buckle-up Idaho, time to get your groove-on....
